Sierra and the Nomads Bio
Sierra and the Nomads began their journey in 2010 on a turquoise-and-gold Bluebird bus bound for Burning Man Festival. The Amazon Queen's empowering rhymes partnered alongside rhythmic frenzy of Jack Star's guitar in adventurous freestyles, and their melodic magnificence left many a-listener spellbound amidst the desert sands.
The dynamic duo found fresh inspiration for their musical groove in the spirited energy of New York City. Jack's big brother Lennon funks up their style with rumbling bass notes, drummer Lucas Leto sets infectious beats and keyboardist Walker Fee infuses the mix with his artistic presence to round out the Nomad sound. Sierra and the Nomads throw unforgettable dance parties, and the group can often be found performing with various talented live percussionists.
Their cosmic musical connection is best described as Modern Soul with a Global Groove, with Sierra's earthy and soulful voice to guide the journey. From Gypsy to funk, hiphop to rock, reggae to blues, the six-foot tall Amazon Queen captivates and empowers her audience with a dancer's grace and fabulous style. Inspiring songs in French and English are uplifted by the colorful band of Nomads in intimate performances. Their array of unique sounds will make you laugh, give you goosebumps, and have you singing on the subway!
